Hi Folk. I have always been interested to establish the true weight of my Savage Nautilus 19 Fisherman / Workman. Well recently I launched my Nautilus and I then took the trailer to the weigh bridge and weighed it, then a few days later when I had re-loaded the boat I took it back to the weigh bridge to do it all again, this time the boat and trailer. The Nautilus in full trim which includes the outboard motor (45kg) 20 ltrs of petrol, anchor & ropes, battery, wiring, and a few miscellaneous items required to meet the laws the net weight came in at 800 kgs. This is a little heavier than I expected, I thought it would be about 650 kgs.
Since I first launched my Nautilus I have now run up approximately 100 hours with the outboard conversion and it just keeps on getting better, 5.5 to 6.0 knots is its sweat spot where the motor is just purring un-fussed, low noise, no fumes and the minimum of vibration and very cheap to run.
